National Power Grid...Step Number One.

Welcome

This is the first post in my series "A Brighter Tomorrow"

Today is January 25, 2009 and the governments of the day are awash in red ink just trying to pull their various countries out of the abrupt steep nose dive that has engulfed he world economy over the past few months.

When we look around we see aging and inefficient infrastructure such as the piece meal power grids of North America

My question is: Would you not agree that electric power is a high priority on our list of daily needs. Just think about how many ways you personally use power and what happens when that power goes away. How do we build to a brighter future?

Lets watch an MSNBC news video and consider the possibilities.

$60 Billion to build a new national grid. Considering that the USA has just poured over a trillion dollars into the economic black hole wouldn't it seem reasonable that this investment would be well spent to bring those forty eight different inefficient power grids (see above image) together into one national grid that could be then easily feed from various energy sources including GREEN

In our next post we will consider step two: Communications
